A few days ago, Roland Krecké, research assistant at LUNEX University, became the first physiotherapist to be honored with the “ORDRE NATIONAL DE LA MÉDAILLE DU MERITE SPORTIF en vermeil.” This coveted distinction is awarded every two years to meritorious individuals working in the sports movement by His Highness, the Grand Duke of Luxembourg. The distinction, which includes a medal and a certificate, was presented on June 21, 2017, by Minister of Sport Romain Schneider at the Institut National du Sport.
About Roland Krecké
The experienced physiotherapist has been working in the sports field since 1980 and at LUNEX University since 2016. Among other things, he has worked as a physiotherapist at five Olympic Summer Games as well as at seven “Games of the Small States.” Roland Krecké is a member of the medical and academic commission; he worked in the technical committee of the National Olympic Committee up until 2017. Krecké serves as Vice President of the “Société Luxembourgeoise de Kinésithérapie du Sport” (SKSL).
