Important information on the Coronavirus / COVID-19

LUNEX University is actively monitoring the latest developments related to the COVID-19 outbreak and its consequences. We are fully committed to implementing the measures taken by the Luxembourgish authorities.

We also strongly encourage all students and staff members to closely adhere to the guidelines and to the recommendations on hygiene communicated by the Government. Other general information can be found on gouvernement.lu and sante.public.lu.

Due to the restrictions of movement imposed by the different EU governments to limit the spread of the virus, LUNEX University has temporarily replaced traditional lectures on campus, by alternative teaching methods. We will therefore be temporarily using online learning until these restrictions are lifted (currently until May 4th).

On behalf of all staff members of LUNEX University, we send you our best wishes to stay strong and healthy in these complicated times.

Online Learning

Modules will be taught online using several alternatives. Some contents will be delivered via prerecorded videos and annotated PowerPoint presentations, while other materials will be provided via live online sessions with the lecturers and other students for discussions, tasks and questions-answers. Below is a summary of the procedures in place concerning lecture materials and other teaching activities:

  • Pre-recorded lectures: videos and slides available on StudyNet
  • Live sessions: to be attended online by all students, slides available on StudyNet
  • Discussions/question-answer sessions: to be attended online by all students, slides available on StudyNet
  • Other tasks (e.g. quizzes): materials available on StudyNet

The times of all online interactive sessions will be published by the module coordinators. Some classes, primarily practical classes, may have to be postponed so as to ensure that these are provided in the required environment (e.g. laboratory, practical rooms). StudyNet will be the central point of information regarding times, materials and activities relating to the modules. The student portal will be, as always, a source for information about schedules, exams etc. Any change or reminder will be communicated by your lecturers via emails, or via StudyNet (module board or chat).
