Research on the impact of fatigue on performance by Dr. Kim Buchholtz
How does fatigue impact performance? This is the question that our Lecturer Dr. Kim Buchholtz is answering in her last research untitled “The effect of physical and cognitive fatigue on mountain bike balance and agility performance” that she presented on 22 and 23 September at the Science & Cycling conference in Leuven, Belgium.
Her field of expertise includes injury in sports, physical activity in health and bicycle control in mountain bikers.
The Science & Cycling organisation aims to researchers, doctors, nutrition experts, sports directors, cycling organisations, trainers and cyclists/triathletes interested in performance in cycling or related sports such as triathlon. It offers scientific programs during the annual conference and masterclasses as well as several events related to the developments in cycling. They invite key speakers to share their views and present their work during the annual conference. Several topics can be covered during those annual conferences: training methods, performance analysis, coaching, medial issues, developments in nutrition, etc.
